Organic range of fertilizers

Guano Diffusion offers a whole range of easy-to-use fertilizers, all guaranteed 100% organic. As high- end products, they make a real difference with short-cycle organic crops.

1Why choose an organic range of fertilizers ?
Organic fertilizers offer two major advantages : • They provide plants with nutrients that will be assimilated by progressive mineralization, which will prevent your plants from being burnt and the soil from being leached. And even better, your soil will become better both in terms of structure and nutritional properties. • Organic fertilizers such as bat guano participate in enriching the soil with organic material, just as amendments do (green manure, compost, manure...) The main natural and organic fertilizers include ground horn, dried blood, castor oil cake, seaweed...But the most efficient fertilizer for short-cycle organic plants is bat guano. It contains great quantities of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and oligo-elements that are easily assimilable by plants. Indeed, organic fertilizers do not all break down at the same pace. Bat guano is particularly adapted to heavy-feeding plants with a short cycle of life. It progressively breaks down in 10 weeks, starting to release its nutrients with the first watering.
2Mineral fertilizers
Guano Diffusion stands out from its competitors by guaranteeing a complete range of efficient products free of mineral fertilizers. Mineral fertilizers are substances of mineral origin, as thei name suggests it. They are manufactured chemically, or produced by exploiting natural mineral deposits. They are cheaper than organic fertilizers and offer plants an immediate and total source of mineral nutrients. But they have major drawbacks : • They risk burning your plants in case of overdosage • They require flushing the plants before harvesting and eating the flowers and fruits. • They are so easy to absorb by plants that they don’t need to make any effort of assimilation...Plants become « lazy » when fed with mineral fertilizers, passive, and less resistant to changes and diseases. • LThey empoverish the richness and efficiency of you soil’s microbial life • When used outdoor, they participate in soil leaching
3What is a deep fertilizer ?

Deep fertilizers have a slow and long-time action. They have to be incorporated to the first five centimeters of the soil. Our bat guano can be used both as a deep fertilizer and as an “immediate » fertilizer as it has been pre-mineralized by an aging process of several decades.

To put it differently, part of the nutrients will be absorbed immediatly by your plants when watered for the first time.

Agronomical sciences clearly differentiate the efficiency of mineral and organic fertilizers used as deep fertilizers. They recommend using organic fertilizers as basic dressing as they participate in the formation of humus and optimize the development of microbial soil life.

The expression « deep fertilizer » doesn’t mean they should be added deep into the soil. It underlines the long-term action of such fertilizers.

4Why use Lombricompost?

I.Configuration EXT n°1 : outdoor crops in open ground with a relatively naturally fertile soil

When crops reach 10cm, plant outdoor in the open ground adding 80g of bat guano Guanodiff Classic’s + 80g of Alguamycor + 1kg of Lombricompost. Mulch in order to preserve surface microbial activity and to limit evaporation. Right from the beginning of the flowering phase (in general in mid-august) harrow the soil and add 80g of GUANODIFF BLOOM. Water, keep the soil mulched for moisture conservation and in order to preserve microbial activity.

II.Configuration EXT n°2 : outdoor crops in a hole in the ground filled with fertilized substrate

Choose this configuration when your soil is not rich enough and completely control the level of fertilization of your substrate.
Click here to use our nutrient calculator.
Note that in that configuration, there won’t be any transplant.

II.1 In spring, when your plant reaches 10cm of height, transplant it outdoor in a mix of neutral substrate (horticultural substrate without any fertilizer) with the following fertilizers :

100g/L of lombricompost (1kg of Lombricompost per 100L of substrate) – 10g /L of Alguamycor® - 5g/L of Guanodiff Classic’s (50g/100L of substrate) – 5g/L de Guanodiff Bloom (50g/100L of substrate) – Water with clean water, keep the soil mulched for moisture conservation and in order to preserve microbial activity.

II.2 After 8 weeks (in general around mid-june), score the soil and add : 10g/L of Guanodiff Classic’s (100g/10L) – Remove the mulch before abundantly watering, and then mulch again.

II.3 After 8 weeks (in general around mid-august), add :

5g/L of Guanodiff Bloom (50g/10L) 5g/L of Guanodiff Classic’s (optional dose according to the type of plant you’re growing) We strongly recommend adding Lombricompost (around 1kg to 3kg per plant, depending on their size) with which you’ll mix the fertilizers. Then, add this rich mixture to the soil after harrowing it. By harrowing the soil, you’ll add the mix to the first five centimeters of it. Water and mulch again.
